KTVC is located in Uasin Gishu County, near Kipkabus Trading Centre, 25Kms from Naiberi junction along Eldoret-Naiberi-Dry’s Road in Ainabkoi Constituency, Kenya. The college's postal address is P.O. Box 10882-30100, Eldoret.

KTVC is a public (government) Technical and Vocational College, accredited and approved by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA).

Construction began in 2014 under the mentorship of Rift Valley Technical Training Institute and was completed in 2017. The college was officially established in 2018 and admitted its first cohort of students in January of that year.

“Technology for Development,” reflecting the college's focus on practical, industry-relevant, and ICT-integrated skills training.

The college is led by the Principal, supported by Deputy Principals for Administration and Academics, and heads of each teaching department.

KTVC offers Level 3, 4, 5 and 6 CBET programmes across several departments:

• Building and Civil Engineering
• Computing and Informatics
• Mechanical and Automotive Engineering
• Electrical and Electronic Engineering
• Hospitality, Fashion Design and Cosmetology

Programme examples include Information Communication Technology (Computing and Informatics), Electrical Installation (Electrical and Electronic Engineering), Building Technology and Land Surveying (Building and Civil Engineering); and Welding and Fabrication (Mechanical Engineering), among others. Duration depends on the level and programme. Level 6 courses take 7 modules + industrial attachment, Level 5 courses take 4 modules + industrial attachment, Level 4 courses take 2 modules + industrial attachment, Level 3 courses take 1 module + industrial attachment.

Most students apply through the national KUCCPS (Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service) portal at students.kuccps.net, using their KCSE index number and year of examination. Applicants who are not placed through KUCCPS, or who wish to apply directly, can also apply through KTVC's own admission portal at admission.ktvc.ac.ke, obtain an admission form from the institution, or request a soft copy via our online platforms, e.g., WhatsApp.

Minimum requirements depend on the level of study:

• Level 6 programmes - minimum KCSE mean grade of C− (minus)
• Level 5 programmes - minimum KCSE mean grade of D (plain)
• Level 4 programmes - minimum KCSE mean grade of E
• Level 3 programmes - minimum KCPE certificate

KTVC admits students for three intakes in a year, i.e January intake, May intake and September intake.

Both KUCCPS-placed and direct (non-KUCCPS) applicants can generate their admission letters online through admission.ktvc.ac.ke or by contacting the Admissions Office. KUCCPS applicants will need their index number and exam year, while non-KUCCPS applicants will be asked for additional identifying details.

Course changes may be considered shortly after joining, subject to availability in the new programme. Contact the Registrar or Academic Office as soon as possible after admission if you wish to change your course.

The current fee structure is published on the college website (ktvc.ac.ke) and is also contained in the Admission Form.

Fees are paid through the college's official payment channels, as indicated on the admission letter and fee structure document.

Yes. Students pursuing all courses can apply for loans and bursaries through the Higher Education Financing (HEF)/HELB TVET Loan and Bursary scheme at portal.hef.co.ke. Priority is often given to orphans, students from single-parent households, and those from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. County government bursaries may also be available. Enquire at the Registry for current opportunities.

KTVC follows Kenya's Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) curriculum for TVET institutions.

Programmes are assessed and certified under the national TVET framework, primarily through the TVET Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (TVET CDACC).

Yes. As a public TVET institution, KTVC is accredited and approved by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA).

All CBET programmes in Kenyan TVET colleges include a period of industrial attachment. The institution also offers internship opportunities across the different departments for graduates who might need workplace exposure and experience. Yes. Hostels are available for both male and female students on a first come first serve basis. Preference is, however, given to persons with disability. Hostel fee is Kshs.5000 for accommodation only, and meals are offered on a P.A.Y.E(pay as you eat) basis. Outside accommodation is also available within the college surroundings at affordable rates

KTVC has a Complaint Resolution mechanism and a published Service Charter outlining its service standards, available at ktvc.ac.ke/service-charter. Students can also raise concerns with their department head, the Dean of Students, or the Registrar.
